![]() The second game is an action RPG with a death mechanic more punishing than Dark Souls. The first game is an introspective crafting and exploration game with a beautiful, dreamlike visual aesthetic. ![]() ![]() I really enjoyed some parts of it but I feel like it's two games rolled into one. Last edited by fabertawe on 10 February 2022 at 3:57 pm UTC I've not done everything in the game or beaten the final boss yet but the jutty out corner wall construction build pieces (excuse my carpentry ignorance!) are not something I've come across or the curvature on the top of those doors maybe.Įdit: I'd love an abominable snowman with the mountain caves update! Do let us know in the comments if you spot anything interesting! Quoting: LiamAt first glance it looks like they're adding in a new rug, a new set of armour, those chairs look different too…there's probably a good number of things to spot if you're a regular player and you have a keen eye. This is on my previous system (GTX 970 and my current RX 6600 with all settings maxed on both cards. The only performance issues I've experienced are when it does the world save and I get a second or two stutter and also, heavy snow up a mountain bombs the frame rate (and then goes back to normal when it stops). It is absolutely awful in every conceivable way.Quoting: MinuxHowever, I guess the worst problem I've experienced is the performance, I can't get how having a good computer sometimes I have to reduce almost everything to have a smooth experience.Ĭould you be more specific on your performance problems? Having to always boat bars nearly doubles that time investment for no reason. The time investment cost is already ridiculously colossal. smelted bars should not be portal prohibited. Smelt ore over several ingame days for the usable item. ![]() Incredible amounts of wood to make coal to feed slow slow smelters. Swamps are terrible for carts and paths take eons to make in a solo playthrough. Tolerance for pointless time wasting finally reaching 0%.ĭump Ore in shelter. I don't want to make a round trip that takes hours irl because who would? Spawn Iron 50. I don't see much sense in mining more because. All the while stacks upon stacks sit in my original base far far away. The amount of times I've been restricted from building and doing what I want because of metal is a large and frustrating amount. I'm building a small base in the Plains because you kinda have to. Forget any and its a round trip upwind were you gain nothing and accomplish nothing. You can't repair without more metal and a forge. You can't make better light sources without copper. It feels insidious and sadistic to me because metal is tied to many things you can make with your hammer. The restriction is nothing but pointless time wasting. Unless you want to make boat after boat, you have to eventually go get it and bring it back home. Long Ships are expensive and how many people are littering them all over the world? It also takes 100 nails which means more metal anyway. The boat excuse isn't a good enough excuse. Metal is too gated and for no reason other than to waste massive amounts of time. Solves the problem of having to come up with what to add. Repeating procedural biomes with the same limited structure pool and little reason to explore the too large map. I feel like the devs have set a foundation where the next updates just solve problems instead of leaving them as they are. Imho, its the worst design decision I've ever seen in a video game in my life. (and no, I am not the no-patience type of guy, but if I want to carry stuff from A-to-B I'll go play some truck simulator or farming sim, I didn't get into Valheim for that.) The whole reason why I bought Valheim because I was sick and tired of the time sinks built into Elite:Dangerous and FDev called it "gameplay", so when encountering this issue I've got the distinct "not again" feeling. Let's just say this is making me think twice if I want to load up the game again, because I cannot do what I want to do, cannot explore and develop my base the way I see fit because of a stupid and artificial limitation on a game mechanic, so players would sink in more hours into the game. I spent the last 3 days gathering supplies to build two portals so I can transport copper and tin to my base which has the forge and smelter and everything I wanted to use.Īnd now I find out that ore cannot be transported because. So for me there is little-to-no use for a ship because the copper deposits are on the hills and mountains. O_O I'm one of the players who tend to play in an organic fashion. ![]()
